Job Description:

My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct 4-block updates, implement initiatives to return lines to LSA, and drive sustained performance through center lining activities
Initiate plans for upgrades, continuous improvement and general production efficiency
Analyze data from MES, PAB, and VOA to identify and address daily bottlenecks, focusing on key KPIs
Provide guidance to shift teams based on data analysis to address problematic areas
Drive quality improvements to reduce TQN and QN to align with company metrics
Contribute to CI projects and validations to enhance equipment reliability
Use systematic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and address repeat loss issues
Attend meetings to discuss line status, agree on resource deployment, and close losses
Provide data and recommendations to the Reliability Leader to enhance maintenance standards and execution based on problem-solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activity
Support equipment breakdown resolution as needed
Coach team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools

Requirements:

HNC or Degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or a related field
5+ years of experience in technical or manufacturing roles, with a focus on high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster a positive team environment
Confident independent thinking and the ability to act decisively under pressure
Experience with safety and ergonomics in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Quality Systems
Some PLC experience is preferred but not essential
