Job Description:

We are looking for a contract Product Designer to focus on improving the UX of our B2B customer portals. This role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces. This is a 6-8 month contract position requiring 2 days per week onsite in Atlanta, GA, with a total of 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibility:

User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points
Analyze user data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
Develop user personas and user journey maps to inform design decisions
UX Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for B2B customer portal features
Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with business requirements and user needs
Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across the portals
Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results
Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful implementation
Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively through presentations and documentation
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Usability Testing & Iteration: Plan and execute usability tests
Analyze test results and iterate on designs to improve user experience
Document and present findings to stakeholders

Requirements:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a focus on B2B applications
Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design process and deliverables
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Experience conducting user research and usability testing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience designing complex data driven interfaces
Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA, 2 days a week

Nice to have:

Experience designing customer portals or enterprise software
Knowledge of front-end development principles
Experience working in an Agile development environment
