Job Description:

We are seeking a Programmer Analyst with expertise in Visual Studio, PowerShell, and file management to support the automation and secure transfer of files across multiple systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and maintaining scripts, managing file structures, and ensuring the secure movement of data using PGP encryption, SFTP, and email protocols.

Job Responsibility:

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts to automate file transfers and system processes
Work with Visual Studio to develop and modify applications that handle file management and automation
Manage file structures on company servers, ensuring files are written and stored in appropriate directories
Implement PGP encryption for secure file transfers via SFTP and email
Configure and maintain service accounts that pull and transfer files securely
Monitor automated processes to ensure data integrity and troubleshoot any failures or inconsistencies
Collaborate with IT and business teams to optimize file handling and transfer workflows
Maintain documentation for scripts, file structures, and data transfer processes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in programming, scripting, and system automation
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system tasks
Strong experience with Visual Studio for application development and debugging
Knowledge of file structures and management on Windows-based servers
Experience with PGP encryption and secure file transfers using SFTP and email
Familiarity with service accounts and automated file movement between directories
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot file transfer and automation issues

Nice to have:

Experience with batch scripting, Python, or other automation tools
Knowledge of Windows Server administration and security best practices
Experience working with cloud-based storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Task Scheduler or Control-M
