Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Track and allocate project costs, ensuring accuracy in expense recording and cost of goods sold
Support in the development of project budgets and forecasts
Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely cost allocation and resolution of discrepancies
Prepare and process progress billing according to project contracts and payment schedules
Ensure billing includes all project milestones, materials, labor, and necessary adjustments
Reconcile work completed, costs incurred, and billing rates in coordination with project managers
Prepare and submit client invoices, ensuring all documentation is accurate and comprehensive
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports on project performance, including cost-to-completion estimates and revenue recognition
Provide project managers and leadership with timely, accurate financial insights to support decision-making
Assist with year-end audits and ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations
Maintain thorough documentation of all financial transactions and project-related records
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Organize contracts, change orders, and project documents for easy access and audit readiness

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance Concentration
3+ years of experience in construction and/or manufacturing industries
AIA billing experience required
Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting systems and construction project management software required
Familiarity with labor cost allocation, material costs, and subcontractor management
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
