The Project Engineer will be responsible for various tasks including project planning, management, and execution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare monthly & annual plan of controlled area
Provide budget inputs of controlled area to ZIC for preparation of zonal budget
Technical feasibility of proposed Network (PE and Steel)
Provide report on planned potential vis a vis proposed Network
Coordinate with O&M, AI & HSE to visit and review the critical cases
Prepare MOC if any required for the site
Coordinate with planning department to prepare drawing before execution
To involve contractors in preparation of project progress of monthly and quarterly and submit for review by ZIC
Arrange fortnightly project progress review meeting with contractors
To ensure drawing of daily site plan and send data to other departments along with entry in online module
Record site related data and reporting of site progress
Apply permission request to various government / private bodies and ensure continuous follow-up for clearances
Monitor project progress vis a vis budget on weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis & provide feedback to ZIC for any deviation in controlled area
Coordinate with contractors and TPEs to get the work done as per specifications and with due adherence to safety norms / practices under guidance of ZIC
Certification of Contractors’ bills based on field measurement and quantity check for onward certification by ZIC
Liaison with local authorities for obtaining permission or extension of permission to lay pipelines and thereby ensure smooth execution of activities at site
Continuous monitoring of site to check execution in accordance to drawn plan and as per MGL’s COP, OCP and SOP
Material reconciliation in SAP as well as physical verification at site
Ensure proper generation of documents by contractors as per ISO & OHSAS formats
Resolving site issues (technical / local coordination / liaison related) for smooth execution of project
Inform planning department to issue drawings for planned work and coordinate for joint site visit as and if required
To interact with Marketing department and provide assistance to MICs in the course of process of introducing MGL to various societies and obtain Registrations
Due preparation of pre-commissioning & commissioning reports and hand over the charged line to O&M
Update latest situation of site to CRM department to reply to\resolve customer complaints on time
To allocate various sites to different TPEs for effective utilization thereof
Grooming the TPEs for optimal output
Guiding the Contractors on any contingency plan if need arises
Provide necessary feedback to Government authorities or MGL customers if any visited to office or meet at site
Solve issues raised by any local corporation or statutory authority in controlled area
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress report
Contractor performance evaluation to be done and feedback should be provided to ZIC
Monthly and quarterly reconciliation report of Contractors’ store
Assist smooth execution of any internal or external audit of controlled area as per company plan and inform the outcome of same to ZIC
Ensure site teams are aware of their responsibilities for safe work and must comply with requirements of MGL HSE policy and procedure, code of practice and relevant legislation
Develop and engage Contractors in building up their capabilities to ensure project delivery on time and safely
Review of Risks / Hazards for different activities and implementation of necessary control measures at site
Ensure adherence to the strict norms of HSE / Quality compliances by execution team during Project execution
Ensure all compliances of QA technical audits of PE network and STEEL network as per QA Framework / Guidelines
Requirements:
Full time Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil)
Experience of minimum 1 year in Project Execution
Knowledge of Non-Destructive Techniques (viz., RT/UT/ MPI/ DP) will be an added advantage
Supervisory skills

Knowledge of National/International Codes & Standards (ISO/ API/ASME/PNGRB)
Good Knowledge of Site Safety
Preparation of HIRA & identification of mitigation measures
Effective communication
Interpersonal skills
