This role functions within the construction industry, where you will be instrumental in overseeing assigned projects, ensuring they adhere to set schedules, budgets, and safety regulations. The role involves working closely with contractors, vendors, and various agencies.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring the successful execution of assigned projects by assessing productivity, schedule adherence, work quality, and safety measures
Actively managing assigned Solar projects through the Early-Stage process, preparing them for handover to the Construction team
Engaging in detailed project planning and scheduling, ensuring technical feasibility and financial viability
Analyzing technical and financial data, identifying key variables, indicators, and trends related to the assigned Solar projects
Participating in walk downs of planned work, validating the acceptance of completed work according to design requirements, and reviewing contractor payment requests
Assisting in budget oversight, resolving technical issues, reporting performance, and monitoring work progress
Coordinating project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local community officials
Serving as development and permitting support, coordinating with subject matter experts, facilitating Engineering, and actively engaging in problem resolution
Utilizing a variety of software applications to manage critical project data and deliverables
Reinforcing expectations related to safety procedure compliance, lessons learned, corrective action, and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractor staff
Performing all other daily tasks required to maintain overall group organization, data deliverables, team readiness, and individual project viability
Requirements:
Proven experience in Project Management
Proficiency in reporting, planning, analytics, and compliance
Experience in payment processing and managing budget processes
Strong knowledge of quality control and scheduling in a project environment
Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, including negotiation skills
Track record of driving project progress and improving productivity
Background in engineering or construction is highly desirable
Understanding of capital management and the ability to work with suppliers
Ability to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Strong oversight skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Experience in managing deliverables and commission functions
Familiarity with expense account management
Proficiency in developing and implementing validation plans
Experience in initiating corrective action when necessary
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
Knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to implement them in the workplace
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred
Certification in Project Management (such as PMP) is a plus
