Job Description:

The selected individual will be responsible for executing a range of accounting duties, including monthly close procedures, maintaining financial records, and providing support to the portfolio's managers. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual eager to use their skills in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

Execute monthly close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements, general ledgers, budgets, and cash flow projections
Post daily sales and cash journal entries as part of daily activities
Provide comprehensive accounting support to portfolio managers, assisting in their decision-making processes
Deliver accurate and timely financial information to both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
Support both internal and external audit requests, ensuring all necessary documentation and data is provided
Assist in meeting tax compliance needs, including monthly sales tax filings
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate
Complete ad hoc requests as needed to support the overall functioning of the accounting department
Apply knowledge of general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures in daily operation

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required, with a thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication
Solid knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential, including invoicing, cash application, and customer account management
Familiarity with Property Accounting is required, as the role involves managing the financial aspects of property portfolios
Ability to handle Month End Close procedures effectively, including preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial results
