Job Description:

The primary role of the Property Accountant is to manage and oversee the financial aspects of our property portfolio, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation. You will also be responsible for the accounting and job costing for ongoing projects.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly
Prepare and maintain the general ledger
Handle the month-end closing process
Prepare financial statements for our property portfolio
Supervise the job costing for projects in progress
Utilize Yardi Software and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
Manage year-end closings
Ensure accurate record-keeping of all financial data

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Property Accountant role or related field
Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with Bank Reconciliations
Familiarity with General Ledger operations
Ability to handle Month End Close procedures
Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
Knowledge in Year End Closings
Understanding of Job Cost procedures
Proficiency in using Yardi Software
Proficiency in using QuickBooks
