An exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry for a Purchaser role located in Roseville, California. The candidate will efficiently coordinate purchasing activities, ensure procurement of high-quality products and services, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure adherence to Corporate Purchasing Policy and Procedures
Efficiently process purchase orders and sales orders
Regularly monitor and expedite corporate buy purchase orders
Conduct cost analysis and inventory planning for different commodities
Recommend new supply sources when current vendors and suppliers are inadequate
Understand engineering drawings and interpret various manufacturing methods and standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
Ensure that procured products and services meet established standards
Collaborate with suppliers to optimize schedules of incoming shipments
Interface with mechanical suppliers for RFQ, PO processing, expediting, tracking delivery, and assessing quality performance
Work cross-functionally with various internal and external teams for the success of the department and the organization
Adapt to changes in duties, responsibilities, and activities at any time as directed by management
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Purchaser role within the Manufacturing industry
Proficient understanding of buying processes is essential
Strong communication skills are required
Must have the ability to negotiate and work with suppliers
Should be able to analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
Ability to develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures is required
Experience in preparing reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs is preferred
Proven ability to maintain records of goods ordered and received is a must
Should have the capability to review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
Must be able to coordinate with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or other departments to ensure procurement goals are met
Degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
Nice to have:
Experience in preparing reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
