This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of our procurement and sales order processes, with responsibilities ranging from sourcing materials to managing vendor relationships and processing sales orders.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluate and select vendors based on their offers, considering factors such as price, reliability, and proximity to make optimal procurement decisions
Coordinate with suppliers to establish delivery schedules and address any shipping errors
Maintain detail-oriented relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon delivery schedules and quality standards
Process sales orders with precision and efficiency, verifying all technical specifications, software, and pricing before purchase
Act as the liaison between sales representatives and the operations team to manage order-related issues
Expedite high-priority orders in accordance with contract agreements
Ensure that all procured stock is correctly packaged and delivered to the right location promptly
Track and manage orders using relevant software or systems, like SAP
Verify the receipt of items by comparing them to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
Communicate any order delays to sales representatives and internal teams
Source materials, goods, products, and services from various vendors, negotiating contracts to secure the best possible terms and pricing
Inspect received goods to ensure their quality and accuracy, maintaining up-to-date records of procurement activities
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing role or similar capacity
Demonstrated expertise in purchasing materials and managing inventory
Proficient in using SAP for purchasing and inventory management
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
Certification in Purchasing Management or related field is a plus
