Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join their dynamic and upbeat work environment. This role requires negotiating pricing, managing delivery timelines, and driving cost-effective purchasing decisions while ensuring timely delivery of products and fostering continual improvement within the team.

Job Responsibility:

Source products and negotiate competitive pricing to meet cost objectives
Manage delivery schedules, ensuring timely fulfillment of product needs
Collaborate with the Director of Purchasing to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
Support budget planning and monitoring for the purchasing department
Actively participate in initiatives to improve procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities
Foster a culture of continual improvement within the team and organization

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role
Proficient in processing purchase requisitions
Experience in drafting and managing purchase agreements
Ability to handle purchase orders effectively
Expertise in responding to purchase requests promptly
Proven experience in handling various purchasing activities
Familiarity with the purchasing functions and processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
