Job Description:

As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring we source the best quality materials at competitive prices. Your tasks will include maintaining supplier relationships and conducting cost price analyses. You'll provide regular updates on purchasing activities to the Purchasing Manager and Finance Director.

Job Responsibility:

Process purchase requisitions from various departments, including Manufacturing, Production, R&D, and Accounts
Raise Purchase Orders using our ERP system (Sage 200) and monitor outstanding orders
Analyse MRP requirements and process orders accordingly
Assist in supplier meetings, negotiating prices and delivery terms
File invoices and purchase data accurately, ensuring compliance with company QMS systems
Help maintain an organised and efficient purchasing department

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills and a clear telephone manner
A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
Previous experience with ERP systems like Sage 200 or similar
A 'can do' attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A full UK driving licence
