Job Description:

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator based in South Gate, California. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities, monitoring inventory, and building strong vendor relations. You will also be responsible for order processing and maintaining accurate purchasing documentation.

Job Responsibility:

Secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines by sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock and stockouts
Create purchase orders, track shipments, and address any delayed or incomplete deliveries
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, effectively addressing issues and fostering long-term partnerships
Identify cost-saving opportunities through market research while maintaining product standards
Keep accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
Collaborate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure purchasing strategies align with company goals

Requirements:

Proficient in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
Expertise in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
Familiarity with various ERP Solutions
Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software
Knowledge of IBM AS/400 system
Ability to use About Time software efficiently
Understanding of various Accounting Functions
Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience with Budget Processes
Knowledge of Buying Processes
Experience in overseeing Purchasing Activities
Familiarity with Purchasing Functions
Experience in Purchasing Materials
Knowledge in managing Corporate Procurement
