Job Description:

A well-established design-and-build firm is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Manager specializing in mechanical and electrical works to lead their team in their site. This pivotal role involves overseeing cost management, project planning, and coordination for large-scale design-and-build projects. It’s an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and shape the success of innovative developments.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage the quantity surveying team to ensure effective cost management and project delivery
Oversee pre- and post-contract activities, including cost estimation, tendering, and final account preparation
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals
Review and approve procurement plans for materials and equipment
Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to address project requirements
Resolve contractual issues, including variation orders, claims, and extensions of time (EOT)
Maintain systematic records of all contractual correspondence and project documentation
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth

Requirements:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Strong expertise in cost estimation, tender preparation, and contract administration
Good knowledge of M&E systems and construction methodologies
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
