The Looked After Children Team is responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and young people in care. The role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and developmental needs of these children, as well as supporting their placement stability, educational achievements, and emotional resilience. The social worker will collaborate with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for the child.
Job Responsibility:
Care Act assessments
Report writing
Providing high quality casework
Having an informed understanding of mental health factors impacting child development
Work on cases with increased complexity
Determine an appropriate level of intervention and service provision
Requirements:
Social Work England registration
Social Work Qualification
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Experience of working with disabled children
