Job Description:

The QA Lead role involves ensuring software quality assurance processes, managing testing procedures, and improving application testing standards for enterprise solutions. It requires technical expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, coupled with leadership skills to manage internal staff and external vendors.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain the appropriate skills, tools & test environments, in line with methodologies & defined testing standards
Ensure resources availability for holistic, scalable enterprise application testing for complete project portfolio
Manage internal staff and external vendors for testing/quality assurance of business solutions/new system capabilities for multiple projects in parallel
Work closely with development teams to ensure that software is being developed to meet quality standards, and ease of deployment and maintenance
Review and implement QA processes and procedures, including testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, required timelines and definition of done
Monitor project deliverables are meeting entry and exit criteria across the testing lifecycle
Create testing metrics reports & distribute to the target audience (e.g., technical debt, code/test coverage, defect statistics, automation coverage)
Ensure robust test environments and valid test data
Ensure that softwares are thoroughly tested and identified defects are resolved in timely manner
Collaborate with other teams in the organization to ensure that software development is aligned with overall goals of the organization
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any similar fields
13-17 years of experience in QA or any equivalent experience along with 5+ years of managing the team
Expertise in software testing, including test planning, test case design, test execution and defect management
Familiarity with software quality assurance tools and technologies, such as automated testing tools, test management tools, and defect tracking systems
Good understanding of various bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Remedy), S/W quality tool, test coverage (e.g., SonarQube) and test/build environment tool (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, Tosca, Perfecto)
Managers having experience in or understanding of support functions such as Finance, risk, operations, CISO, HR etc. of Insurance sector will be preferred
Strong logical reasoning ability and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall and DevOps
Experience with project management and budgeting
Understanding of performance testing, device farm testing, coordinating security tests, Information security tests
