Job Description:

This position offers the opportunity to expand skills and experience in facility property management for a wholesale data center provider in Japan. The role involves financial and operational responsibilities, team management, vendor oversight, and addressing customer needs, all while supporting compliance, certifications, and improving physical security posture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, budget, forecast and control operating and capital expenditures for operational departments
  • manage preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and variance reports
  • support purchase order and invoice register process including accruals and payment of expenses
  • oversee compliance of customer lease agreements
  • respond to customer requests and coordinate with other operations groups
  • supervise administration of facility liability insurances
  • oversee vendor selection and performance under the Operations division
  • supervise vendor services strictly for site security vendors
  • ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures
  • maintain relationships with customers
  • perform property inspections and recommend maintenance
  • mitigate operational risk
  • support centralized processes
  • manage and supervise team members
  • develop, coach, and counsel team members

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance or engineering/computing is preferred
  • seven to ten years of related experience in commercial property management and financial reporting
  • experience in data center or other mission critical property and site security management
  • a proven track record of providing superior customer service
  • solid understanding of financial terms and principles and the ability to analyze financial statements
  • proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite
  • familiarity and experience with property and accounting management software programs (OBIC, etc.)
  • ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communications
  • experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace
  • strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with demanding customers
  • self-starter mentality
  • ability to travel to other locations throughout the region
  • strong command of English and Japanese at a business-sufficient level
