Job Description:

The Regional Sales Leader, Eastern US - Dental, Vision and Voluntary is a leadership sales role focused on new business sales and growth of dental, vision, and voluntary products in the Key and Select segments. The role includes managing a sales team, planning and executing sales strategies, conducting performance management, and partnering with cross-functional teams. The role includes accountability for new revenue growth, cultivating contractor relationships, performance evaluations, and talent development.

Job Responsibility:

Communicates and executes sales plans in line with dental, vision, voluntary goals for the Eastern half of the country
responsible for new business sales and is accountable for new dental, vision and voluntary revenue and membership sales and growth
educates constituents on Aetna specific policies, product information and procedures as well as industry issues and related current key business issues
analyzes competitive environment to support and improve pricing and product development strategies as well as sales efforts
partners with cross-functional team to help remove organizational barriers that impact cross-functional work
recruits, attracts and retains a diverse workforce
engages and develops the team through mentoring, coaching and making available tools and resources
responsible for day-to-day performance management and ongoing performance appraisal
training and skill development
coaching and feedback.

Requirements:

7-9 years directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
proven ability to be a strong health care Sales leader
Health & Life licensed
ability to travel in the market
experience with non-medical products - supplemental products
accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity
experience managing a Sales team
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
