Job Description:

Join our dynamic team in Braine l’Alleud as a Research Associate III specializing in mass spectrometry analysis. This role focuses on developing, validating, and transferring analytical methods using GC-MS and LC-MS/MS techniques. You'll contribute to groundbreaking research within the pharmaceutical industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, evaluate and/or validate new analytical methods to analyze raw materials and finished products in the frame of R&D projects
  • Provide support for laboratory testing as part of R&D projects for sustaining product on the market or new product development
  • Provide support for initiatives in technological development, competitive product analysis, market and regulatory affairs questions, manufacturing plant related investigations
  • Document and review results in electronic laboratory notebooks according to established GDP procedures
  • Create and update equipment and analytical procedures, participate in the ordering of raw materials, analytical material or equipment pieces
  • Interpret experimental data and present conclusions to supervisor
  • Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English
  • Adhere to quality system requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards
  • Maintain laboratory reagents, materials and equipment as directed
  • Laboratory management, including handling samples, analyses, reports, and customer contact
  • Participate/support/organize the production of feasibility and development batches of formulations as needed

Requirements:

  • Expertise and solid understanding in areas associated with mass spectroscopy and chromatography (gas and/or liquid)
  • Communication skills to establish relationships across functional and geographical boundaries and present technical results/plans to technical and non-technical teams
  • Personal responsibility and independent ownership of analysis and results
  • A good understanding of ICH guidelines and cGxP practice
  • Proactive attitude and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Adaptability to changes and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities and communicate to supervisor
  • Fluent spoken, read and written English
