Job Description:

Randstad are looking for residential childcare workers to work with a multi-award winning, highly rated residential childcare service. The service supports children with social, emotional and behavioural issues ages 10-18. You'll learn and develop with the children as the service loves to upskill their team and promote from within.

Job Responsibility:

Working effectively as part of a team
supporting the social, emotional and educational needs of children
de-escalating challenging behaviour
taking on key work responsibilities
maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
working to a flexible schedule, including nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays

Requirements:

Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people
experience in a secure setting is beneficial, but not essential
have flexibility in the roles undertaken
have strong communication skills
register under the PVG scheme
full driving licence
obtained (or willing to work towards) SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent

Nice to have:

experience in a secure setting
