Job Description:

A Retail Pharmacy Residency Program at CVS Health is a comprehensive postgraduate training opportunity designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced roles in community pharmacy practice. The program spans one year and includes rotations in clinical and operational aspects of pharmacy management, patient-centered care, preceptorship, mentorship, leadership training, quality improvement projects, professional development, and networking.

Job Responsibility:

Engage in various rotations, gaining exposure to different aspects of retail pharmacy practice
Undergo training in both clinical and operational aspects of pharmacy management
Deliver patient-centered care
Collaborate with healthcare teams
Optimize medication therapy outcomes
Work closely with experienced preceptors and mentors
Undertake quality improvement projects
Participate in professional development opportunities
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the CVS Health network
Gain exposure to expanded pharmacy services

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas within 90 days of hire date

Nice to have:

Background in community pharmacy practice with interest in organizational leadership
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Professionalism and maturity
Ability to travel to clinical sites, training programs, and professional meetings
CVS Health internship or rotation experience
