The Sales Head for SADC & Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is responsible for the development and execution of Baxter Kidney Care sales and growth strategies, including managing distributor relationships, driving market expansion, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The role focuses on PD, HD, and Acute therapies and involves significant regional projects to boost Baxter's presence in a fast-evolving healthcare landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable growth
Manage and optimize distributor relationships
Lead the regional organization in meeting P&L objectives
Identify new business opportunities
Oversee large-scale projects
Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and stakeholders
Ensure regulatory compliance and ethical business practices
Drive improvements in market access, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks
Support digital transformation initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
15-20 years of experience in sales and marketing within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
Proven track record of managing distributor relationships
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams
Deep understanding of market trends, pricing structures, and healthcare dynamics in the SADC & SSA regions
Familiarity with regional healthcare regulations, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks
Fluent in written and spoken English
Ability to travel extensively
Nice to have:
MBA or other advanced degrees
Additional languages spoken in the region
Familiarity with digital tools like TrueVue Analytics and Sharesource PD Tools
