Job Description:

The Sales Manager role involves leading the sales team to success by aligning with the company’s vision, developing talent, managing major customer engagements, and driving profitability and growth. The manager will oversee strategic sales planning, provide customer feedback, and embody the company’s values.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicates direction to the team in line with the company’s vision and strategy
  • inspires the team to meet and exceed goals
  • creates a high performing team through recruiting, developing, and retaining talent
  • orchestrates major customer engagements to deliver results
  • manages escalations and solutions
  • drives a hunting mentality
  • manages high-end operational and tactical activities
  • provides timely and accurate sales forecasts
  • establishes sales methodology
  • partners with stakeholders to maximize efficiency
  • delivers and collects customer feedback and won/loss analysis.

Requirements:

  • University or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • typically 10-12+ years’ experience in sales, including success in achieving progressively higher quota and other sales goals
  • services sales background would be advantageous
  • 5+ years’ experience managing high performing sales teams preferred
  • demonstrated excellence in project management
  • strategic leadership skills
  • ability to build and manage long-term customer/partner relationships
  • financial and business acumen
  • knowledge of HPE portfolio and IT industry
  • experience in complex multi-BU business deals.
