Job Description:

This role focuses on leading SAP project implementations, working closely with technical and functional teams, managing vendors, and ensuring project success. The position is aimed at candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience in IT outsourcing or SAP implementation in large organizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • participates as a member of development team or leads a small development team
  • performs analysis of functional and business requirements
  • contributes to design and coding activities
  • leads code reviews and executes unit tests
  • performs solution design and implements infrastructure solutions independently
  • oversees system changes and identifies risks/issues
  • develops mitigation strategies
  • manages change requests and tracks daily project execution
  • conducts regular team meetings
  • manages vendor relationships
  • ensures smooth transition of project to production teams.

Requirements:

  • extensive experience of working for large IT services/IT outsourcing companies with SAP Implementation and strong client facing experience
  • ability to define project scope, goals, deliverables and success criteria
  • ability to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources and budget
  • ability to work with Solution Architect and delivery team and determine if any external vendors are required for the project
  • ability to onboard external vendors within agreed time
  • oversight of system changes
  • ability to work with functional teams, legacy/existing system owners and their technical architects to ensure timelines for delivery are understood
  • ability to identify potential risks and issues impacting project success
  • ability to develop mitigation strategies
  • ability to manage Change Requests, assess their impacts and gain approvals
  • ability to track and lead day-to-day execution and align progress with project plan
  • ability to conduct regular team meetings
  • ability to ensure quality standards
  • ability to lead and motivate project teams
  • ability to act as liaison between test team and system owners
  • ability to manage relationships with third-party vendors
  • ability to maintain thorough project documentation
  • ability to transition project to production support teams.
