Job Description:

A Good Ofsted rated secondary school in Newham is seeking an experienced Admissions Officer to join their growing team. The role involves handling admission arrangements, managing the waiting lists, collaborating with senior leaders, and interacting with parents and prospective students.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure the efficient and accurate organisation of all aspects of the school's admission arrangements and processes
Lead the admissions process and organisation of the selection test, working collaboratively with other administrators and senior leaders in pursuit of this
Manage the school's waiting lists and all communication with potential parents in accordance with the admissions policy
Update school database with all relevant data in preparation for school census returns
Respond to all admission enquiries, advising new and prospective students and parents of school procedures and admissions criteria
Produce proof of address and proof of on roll letters as required
Provide all staff with information on new arrivals

Requirements:

Previous experience dealing with Admissions in schools
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail are critical
Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
Hold the right to work/eligibility in the UK
Enhanced DBS certificates or willing to get a new one
Provide specific references

Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
