We are seeking a customer-focused and adaptable Receptionist with strong interpersonal skills to provide an efficient reception service for a school in Greenwich. This is a full-time position during school term time.
Job Responsibility:
To ensure that the reception area remains tidy and that literature and forms are updated and replenished as necessary
maintain radio contact with Operations Manager, Site Team and Pastoral
to monitor entry systems for the main gate and reception area, including during fire drills
ensure that queries are dealt with effectively, taking the initiative to identify and handle issues that arise on behalf of the leadership team and others
interacting with parents, carers, colleagues and visitors to the school, at all levels of seniority, with confidence, tact and professionalism
liaise with colleagues and external contacts at all levels of seniority with confidence, tact and diplomacy
Requirements:
Previous experience of school reception duties
experience gained within a school environment and knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous
excellent communication skills and customer service manner including dealing with a diverse range of people
good organisational, telephone manner and time-management skills
right to work in the UK is Essential
