Job Description:

Teachanywhere is seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary Biology Teacher to join a vibrant and progressive international school in Yangon, Myanmar. The school follows the British National Curriculum from Nursery through to Secondary where students complete IGCSEs and A-Levels, with small class sizes and an emphasis on sports and extracurricular activities.

Job Responsibility:

Nurture a love of the natural world in students
Help young minds discover the wonders of Science and Nature
Unlock students' potential
Provide a holistic education
Share knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology with students

Requirements:

Fully qualified with at least 3 years of experience
Bachelors Degree in Biology/ Education and a Science PGCE
UK National Curriculum experience is highly desirable
Previous experience of working with EAL students
Must have resilience, and be flexible
Dedicated, hardworking professionals who are interested in living and furthering their careers in a fascinating location offering a unique cultural experience
Be a fully qualified and/or licensed teacher
Able to pass police checks and background checks including references
Proficient English speaker
Possess good classroom management skills
Be a citizen of the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada (to meet visa requirements)
Remain open minded, resilient, and keen to contribute to the future success of the school

Nice to have:

Previous experience of working with EAL students

What we offer:

Salary from $23,400 to $26,400 net per year (paid in USD)
Flight allowance: Start and end of placement
