Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing international school in Yangon, Myanmar, while experiencing the rich culture and history of Southeast Asia. The school provides a holistic education and follows the British National Curriculum. Students complete IGCSEs and A-levels, with small class sizes and an emphasis on sporting and extracurricular activities.

Job Responsibility:

Inspire a love of literature and language in students
nurture a love of reading, writing, and communication
help young minds discover the power of words and unlock their potential
share knowledge and enthusiasm for English with students

Requirements:

Fully qualified with at least 3 years of experience
UK National Curriculum experience is highly desirable.
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with EAL students.
Must have resilience, and be flexible.
Dedicated, hardworking professionals who are interested in living and furthering their careers in a fascinating location offering a unique cultural experience
be a fully qualified and/or licensed teacher
be able to pass police checks and background checks including references
be a proficient English speaker
possess good classroom management skills
be a citizen of the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada (to meet visa requirements)
remain open minded, resilient and keen to contribute to the future success of the school

Nice to have:

UK National Curriculum experience is highly desirable.

What we offer:

Salary from $23,400 to $26,400 net per year (paid in USD)
Flight allowance: Start and end of placement
