Job Description:

The Solutions Engineer (SE) partners with Business Sales to sell T-Mobile for Business products and services by leveraging their strong technical skills, experience, and industry knowledge. SESs engage in pre-sales activities by consulting on customer opportunities to gain an understanding of their business, identify their business challenges, and develop solutions that meet their needs. The Sr SE, Specialist architects and designs solutions, provide presales technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, provides answers to customers' technical inquiries and is seen as a leader amongst their peers. SESs further support Business Sales by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels. SESs will keep the Business Sales teams they support apprised of relevant technologies and industry trends. SESs will maintain specialist/expert level knowledge of Device Security, Endpoint Security, consult with customers, SEs, and Sales teams to drive sales and execute on financial targets. They will also obtain and/or maintain product-specific certifications as required, understand and present product roadmaps as needed, assist with post-sale support/escalations as engaged by CSI, maintain an understanding of T-Mobile wireless network and related key technologies, and maintain high-level understanding of network solutions, products, and technologies. Sr SESs maintain their technical skills and industry expertise by participating in internal and external training opportunities. SESs also pursue and maintain partner or industry certification as required for their position. The Sr Solution Engineer, Specialist is a technical leader with good business acumen leveraging technical background, strategic thinking, communication skills and leadership prowess to successfully deliver innovative and differentiated products for the T-Mobile for Business organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Pre-sales Activities (including, but not limited to) provide RFP technical input, strategize with sales team to improve Regional/National sales, own customer technical relationships, understanding nuances, and drivers, design and architect services and solutions, uncover opportunities and recommend solutions, partners ability to review and demonstrate product roadmap to customers and sales team, engaged for Executive Briefing Center presentations
  • Act as technical SME within the Solution Engineering organization for Security applications, concepts and design
  • Design and support implementation of PoCs/RoVs to specific customer expectations. Execute Go to Market strategy with sales, product, and 3rd party vendors
  • Assist with training and technical documentation for the Solution Engineering and Business Sales organizations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Care teams to provide feedback, support special projects, and engage in market-level opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years experience in telecommunications, pre-sales solution engineering with a professional track record of successful solution sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment, technical leadership and project management, and providing strategic direction in a leadership role
  • 4-7 years’ of engineering/supporting secure cloud services, SASE, Zero Trust Foundations, End-Point Protection, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud, Data Management and/or SD solutions and architectures
  • Experience and certification around Microsoft security and licensing solutions (required)
  • Experience with container environments such as Kubernetes
  • Technical documentation and presentation skills are required to convey design benefits to a wide range of audiences
  • Proven ability work with cross-functional teams

  • Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree STEM (Required)
  • MS/MBA (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • bias toward making data-based decision and comfortable with analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Industry security certifications and Collaboration/UC experience is (preferred)
  • Public cloud certifications (preferred)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
