Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant role in a nurturing and stimulating environment designed for children with autism spectrum conditions. Responsibilities include classroom support, 1:1 tutoring, and creating a positive atmosphere. Additional benefits and professional growth opportunities provided.

Job Responsibility:

provide support to students in the classroom
collaborate with the class teacher
support students with a range of needs
create a positive and encouraging atmosphere
learn and grow through professional development opportunities

Requirements:

valid DBS check
full driving licence (preferred)
passion for working with children with autism spectrum conditions
patient, caring, and enthusiastic
experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)

Nice to have:

experience working with PECs
experience with speech & language or BSL

salary rising to £20,500 after 2 years
