Job Description:

A warm and welcoming SEN school in Cambridge is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs. This role involves tailored support for individual students and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

working closely with individual students and small groups both inside and outside the classroom
assisting with personal care needs with respect and sensitivity
implementing tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters engagement and progress
communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning experience

Requirements:

excellent communication and interpersonal skills
patient, understanding, and empathetic nature
previous experience working with SEN children is highly desirable but not essential
ability to assist with personal care needs
ability to implement tailored learning activities
ability to create a positive learning environment
ability to communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents

Nice to have:

previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
