Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistants at an exceptional school in Cranleigh, Surrey, supporting children aged 7-19 with autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The role involves providing 1:1 support, assisting teachers, and promoting positive learning environments in a nurturing setting that includes exceptional facilities and professional growth opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement personalized learning plans
Support students with activities, behaviour management, and personal care
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere
Learn and grow with professional development opportunities

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)
Passion for working with children with autism
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
Experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
Experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
Experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)
No GCSE in English and Maths required
