Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join Randstad, providing essential support to children with diverse learning needs across a variety of primary schools in Hertfordshire. This role involves assisting children with special educational needs in the classroom, helping them engage with the curriculum and thrive.

Job Responsibility:

Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access learning in a way that suits their individual requirements
Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) for children with SEN
Support students in one-on-one or small group settings, offering encouragement and guidance
Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment
Work alongside teachers and the SENCo to monitor and track students' progress
Assist with the use of specialist equipment or technology to support children's learning needs
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents, ensuring that all involved are kept informed of progress and concerns.

Requirements:

Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Adaptable, reliable, and able to work well within a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), either in a classroom or other relevant setting (desired but not mandatory).
