Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our exceptional school in Cranleigh, Surrey. The school provides a nurturing, stimulating, and innovative environment for children aged 7-19 with autism spectrum conditions (ASC). Responsibilities include providing individualized support to students, collaborating with the class teacher, and promoting a safe and structured learning atmosphere. The role offers a unique work environment within a vibrant setting featuring exceptional facilities, such as sensory rooms, trampolines, and an onsite cafe.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom
Collaborate with the class teacher
Support students with a range of needs
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere
Learn and grow

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)

Nice to have:

Experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS
Experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners
Experience with speech & language or BSL

What we offer:

Term-time only contract
Competitive salary: £19,000 per year, rising to £20,500 after 2 years of successful service as a Senior TA
Opportunity to work in the care setting for 16 hours per week during school holidays, adding an additional £2,000 to your salary after 6 months
Free transport from Guildford station (limited availability, with a cost involved)
