Job Description:

The school is looking for an inspiring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support students on a 1:1 basis with their learning in the classroom and around the school. Students have access to amazing facilities such as a music room, science labs, technology and art studios, sports fields, swimming pools, and more. The position involves working closely with the class teacher to ensure the learning environment suits the needs of each student.

Job Responsibility:

Work 1:1 with a student, building a supportive and nurturing relationship ensuring they feel safe and secure at school
Promote and encourage good behaviour and encourage independence
Contribute to all aspects of educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad curriculum

Requirements:

GCSE English and Maths qualification - minimum grade 4 or equivalent is essential
Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards)
Understanding of the Safeguarding principles
Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD
Own transport due to location is desirable
