Job Description:

The role involves assisting students with a wide range of special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and achieving their potential while providing tailored support and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities
supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis
helping students develop social, emotional, and practical skills
providing support with personal care in a respectful and sensitive manner
promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
supporting the class teacher in managing classroom behavior
ensuring students stay engaged with their work
collaborating with other staff and professionals to meet individual student needs.

Requirements:

Experience in working with children with SEN is desirable
willingness to learn and develop skills within the role
patience
empathy
ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student
committed to promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Nice to have:

Experience in working with children with SEN
experience with autism spectrum disorders
experience with learning difficulties
experience with social emotional mental health
experience in administering medication
experience in managing challenging behaviour.
