Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant at a specialist SEN school, you'll provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs by implementing personalised plans, supporting personal care as needed, fostering growth, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

working closely with individual students and small groups both inside and outside the classroom to deliver engaging learning activities tailored to their needs
implementing personalised learning plans and strategies developed in collaboration with teachers and therapists to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
assisting students with their personal care needs as required, promoting independence and dignity
creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that celebrates each student's achievements and encourages a love of learning
communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for each child

Requirements:

genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a belief in their ability to succeed
patience, understanding, and empathy with a warm and nurturing approach
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
previous experience working in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
