Job Description:

Robert Half is hiring for a Senior Accountant in Selbyville, DE. The role involves maintaining financial reports, preparing financial statements, assisting with month-end close processes, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks are used to perform tasks. This position focuses on financial planning, reporting, and compliance tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Administer and maintain accounting activities in accordance with established policies and procedures
Assist departments with Accounts Receivable operations and ensure data accuracy
Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank and investment accounts, and manage the release of restricted funds
Conduct fixed asset inventory checks, tag fixed assets, and record disposals accordingly
Generate routine and ad-hoc financial reports to support decision-making processes
Develop financial models and pro-forma financials to assist with current and future planning, as well as cash flow and cash management
Oversee the creation of annual capital and expense budgets, forecast reporting, and strategic planning
Analyze ticket sales and attendance to complete quarterly reporting
Ensure data syncs between billing systems and QuickBooks are timely and accurate, and assist with troubleshooting syncing errors
Prepare schedules to support the annual independent audit and tax returns
Use Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks, among other tools, to accomplish tasks efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of detail oriented experience in accounting or related field
Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with general ledger and journal entries
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary
Experience with month-end close procedures
Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
Understanding of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP guidelines
Experience with QuickBooks is beneficial
Familiarity with Tax - Form 990 is required
