Job Description:

Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Madera, California. The role is integral to the company's manufacturing industry team and includes responsibilities such as financial data compilation, ledger management, intercompany transactions, cost analysis, and compliance with U.S. GAAP standards. Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure precision in ledger entries and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts with the general ledger
  • Assist in the compilation of financial data to support more senior accountants in the creation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
  • Contribute to the analysis of current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Execute ad-hoc reporting for the financial team
  • Collaborate with the corporate team to enhance the current system of internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure reliable product costing for inventory valuation purposes
  • Act as a liaison between plant personnel and corporate teams to facilitate processing AP/AR and other transactions
  • Facilitate intercompany transactions to minimize delays in processing
  • Coordinate tracking of capital spending and estimates
  • Support efforts to reduce unfavorable variances and targeted cost reduction projects
  • Ensure adherence to standard accounting principles in accordance with policies and procedures and U.S. GAAP
  • Review and monitor internal controls in the order-to-cash and procurement-to-pay processes
  • Maintain standard costs, bill of material, PPV analysis, monthly journal entries, and labor and overhead analysis and associated reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end inventory controls
  • Work with the operations team to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Develop mastery of business systems and understanding of order-to-cash flow in all segments of business to facilitate reporting and overall business process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
  • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
  • Strong skills in handling General Ledger
  • Ability to accurately process Journal Entries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Ability to perform Cost Analysis effectively
