Job Description:

Our client is a multinational company at the forefront of consumer market research. They are introducing an exciting new role and seeking a talented professional to join as a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, submit financial reports, and ensure compliance with Hungarian and IFRS accounting standards.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the company’s accounting operations, accurately posting all ledger entries and transactions (accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, depreciation, liabilities, and inventory)
Review and verify accounting documents
maintain fixed asset records
process depreciation
conduct regular inventory checks
Prepare and submit VAT returns and control statements
Prepare inputs for tax returns (corporate income tax, Innovation tax, Municipal tax)
Communicate with tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
prepare financial statements and audit documentation
Monitor legislative changes and ensure implementation in the company’s accounting practices
Prepare financial reports for management

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with comprehensive accounting responsibilities
English Proficiency – Minimum Level: B2 (written and spoken)
Advanced knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax)
Strong experience with Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is desirable
Perfect knowledge of Hungarian Accounting Standards, and good knowledge of IFRS
High accuracy, independence, and responsible work approach
Advanced MS Excel skills (reports, pivot tables)
Analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
Certified accountant (preferably registered) is a must

Nice to have:

Strong experience with Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is desirable
