Job Description:

We are searching for a Senior Accountant for our client, a very well capitalized, private equity backed company that is in high acquisition mode with a number of current nationwide targets. This Senior Accountant role will be actively involved with helping to build their best-in-class finance & accounting functions. Reporting to a talented Corporate Controller, this is a ground floor opportunity to support a high growth company achieve success as they are supported by a well-known private equity firm.

Job Responsibility:

Executing monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Assisting in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Preparing monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheets and flux analysis for management reporting
Upholding company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls
while also providing support on special requests as required
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Manage ad-hoc projects
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

Requirements:

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA or active CPA candidate is preferred
4 or more years of overall general accounting experience including month end close duties
Experience from within the audit group of a Big 4 or other leading public accounting firm is desirable
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Ability to handle multiple projects within deadlines
Proficient in ERP systems such as Workday, NetSuite or Oracle
