Job Description:

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a Senior Accountant consultant to support our growing travel industry client for an on-site engagement in the South Bay. The consultant will support the Controller through recurring month-end close with a focus on journal entry preparation, account reconciliation (bank, credit card, and account), and process documentation. As the team grows, the client is seeking to capture current processes and identify opportunities to improve existing reporting. The ideal consultant will feel comfortable rolling up their sleeves and possess strong communication (verbal and written) and an eye for process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting in the preparation of journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
Conducting bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Offering support during month-end close procedures, including reporting in QuickBooks
Documenting detailed procedural processes
Utilizing Microsoft Excel skills for tasks such as pivots, lookups, and sumifs
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing these changes
Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions where necessary

Requirements:

Prior general ledger experience preparing journal entries and complex reconciliations
Experience supporting month-end close and reporting in QuickBooks
Ability to prepare detailed process documentation
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivots, lookups, sumifs)
Ability to work on-site in the South Bay (5-days/week)
