Job Description:

Exciting Opportunity: Senior Accountant. Are you ready to advance your accounting career and contribute to meaningful projects? We are working with a great client in the Bowling Green area that has a generous benefits package including time off. As a Senior Accountant, you would be supporting grants, service contracts, and restricted funds within the Controller’s Office.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain and update the general ledger
reconcile accounts
ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and GASB standards
prepare reports like the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) and NSF HERD report
assist with periodic federal fund draws
handle year-end audit work papers, federal sub-award filings, and cost-share calculations
train and support internal stakeholders on restricted fund accounting
contribute to special projects

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, or related field required)
3+ years of accounting/auditing experience is required
CPA certification preferred
detail-oriented
strong communication skills

Nice to have:
