Senior Accounting Analyst

• Set up and integrate job estimates into the accounting system
• Monitor and analyze project activities to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare and manage subcontracts, process invoices, and reconcile costs within project budgets
• Handle customer pay applications and update project financials as needed
• Collaborate with field teams and management to assess budget projections and provide recommendations
• Track and forecast project costs, identifying potential overruns before they occur
• Analyze project expenditures, investigate discrepancies, and maintain financial transparency
• Manage project invoicing and ensure accuracy in billing processes
• Oversee vendor invoices and manage accounts payable related to project expenses
• Conduct financial assessments to optimize costs and maximize profitability
• Work with project managers to align financial insights with project goals and timelines
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Costpoint, Timberline or Vista by Viewpoint is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work across different accounting modules
• 3+ years of experience in construction-related accounting or financial analysis - Senior level role - Required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to support project teams
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
• Understanding of project management processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and accountability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with construction accounting software such as Costpoint, Timberline or Vista by Viewpoint
