Job Description:

As Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key role in leading our care team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care, and creating a warm, supportive environment. This involves coordinating shifts, assisting residents with their daily needs, managing medication documentation, fostering team collaboration, and promoting a safe and positive atmosphere.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure all staff contribute to the smooth running of the home
Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility
Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication
Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
Foster a team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment
Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home’s facilities
Respond to emergency call bells and provide assistance
Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes
Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning
Adhere to Health and Safety policies

Requirements:

SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential
Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun
Commitment to person-centred care
