Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Controller in the Real Estate industry, located in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the general ledger, leading a team of detail-oriented individuals, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the reconciliation and maintenance of the general ledger
Lead and mentor a diverse team
Coordinate the preparation of internal and external financial statements
Support strategic planning and budget management
Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls
Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions
Handle special projects
Maintain and update various accounting systems and records
Manage an Insurance Captive
Respond promptly to all lender requests for information and reporting

Requirements:

Minimum of 15 years experience in a similar position
Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
Ability to manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prior experience in Auditing processes
Familiarity with Budget Processes
Candidate must hold a CPA certification
Experience in Tax Preparation
Competence in Tax Research & Planning
Proficiency in Tax Planning Strategies
Expertise in Financial Planning
Ability to Prepare Financial Statements accurately
Experience in managing General Ledger
