Job Description:

Sitting at the intersection of business and engineering, Data Scientists work in several different capacities to improve the overall decision making capabilities at the company and connect people to the best and most relevant experiences. You will work closely with our stakeholders in business, product, and engineering to devise data-driven solutions to optimise the pricing of events in our marketplace. You will develop and maintain models to accurately estimate demand and price elasticity in order to maximise the long term value for our customers and Fever. You will analyse and exploit cross effects across products and contexts (e.g., box office, marketplace) to drive further optimisation opportunities. You will design, execute, and analyze experiments, leveraging statistics, econometric models, causal inference techniques to determine the true impact of pricing interventions. You will collaborate with our partners to devise the right solutions across domains (e.g., sports and live entertainment), to tackle diverse business problems and needs. Data Scientists also form a tight-knit group constantly looking to upskill and learn from each other, share best practices and learnt lessons and generally foster a culture of excellence. This is a highly visible role with a lot of potential to define the scope and strategy for this extremely important function. You'll play a key role in taking Fever's already vibrant data culture to the next level

Job Responsibility:

work closely with stakeholders in business, product, and engineering to devise data-driven solutions
develop and maintain models to accurately estimate demand and price elasticity
analyse and exploit cross effects across products and contexts
design, execute, and analyze experiments leveraging statistics, econometric models, causal inference techniques
collaborate with partners to devise solutions across domains

Requirements:

solid math, statistics and Machine Learning fundamentals (typically MSc or PhD level)
strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling including regression, econometric models, time series analysis and forecasting
mastery of common data and ML tools (e.g. SQL, Pandas, Numpy, …)
experience developing and deploying models for business applications
scientific mindset, problem-first attitude and highly self-critical
entrepreneurial spirit, ownership of work, communicate early and often, take controlled risks
comfortable with software engineering best practices
excellent communication skills and proficient in business English

Nice to have:

expertise in technical areas such as causal inference, reinforcement learning and optimisation systems
relevant work experience in internet tech companies
identified as both a scientist and a hacker
experience with current ML and scientific computing frameworks such as Pytorch, JAX
