Job Description:

Randstad are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior EIC Engineer to join our client’s team in Adelaide. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced automation and control systems for their mining processing operations, driving efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Completion of small to medium sized electrical, instrumentation and control systems (EIC) design projects for new and existing mining infrastructure
Technical review of engineering deliverables
Supervise and mentor junior/graduate engineers
Collaborate with technology and project teams, including mechanical, process, and automation engineers, to ensure integration of control systems & instruments
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automation and control technologies
Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments for control systems

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing EIC systems, ideally within the mining industry
Strong understanding of instrumentation and control concepts, including process control, feedback loops, and distributed control systems
Demonstrated experience with motor controls and VSD
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships
Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with various software applications
