Job Description:

As Senior Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a key role in leading our care team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care, and creating a warm, supportive environment. You’ll coordinate shifts, lead by example, and be responsible for the performance of your team during each shift. Your leadership will help us maintain a caring, efficient, and positive atmosphere in our home.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and Coordinate shifts
Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility
Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication
Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
Foster a team ethos
Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home’s facilities
Respond promptly to emergency call bells
Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes
Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning
Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety policies

Requirements:

SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential
Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care
