Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Communications Specialist to operate and optimize our Enterprise internal communications and knowledge intranet platforms for access, authoring, experience, and usability. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of our employees, then using continual improvement processes to improve product effectiveness to increase satisfaction and utilization. This role owns specific programs or processes that support larger organizational/enterprise goals, including but not limited to business requirements development, content management, feedback collection and analysis, governance, site adoption, user engagement, and UX/UI concepts and evaluation. This role collaborates with multi-functional partners and third-party resources to ensure that content, systems, and tools are effective and meet employee expectations. You will advise on large, complex projects spanning content initiatives, technical integrations, site performance analysis, user experience, and team workflows & processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborates with designers, developers, and business teams throughout the process
  • participates in analysis, market research, and validation to seek opportunities for new or existing capabilities and features
  • partners with business owners, scrum teams, and cross-functional partners to scope, write requirements, solution design, develop user stories, feature development and user acceptance testing
  • partner with IT to support our roadmap and backlog, ensuring that technology deliveries capabilities on time, at budget, to specification
  • partner with a broad group of team members to identify key capabilities needed as well as potential issues or risks and their solutions
  • monitor and evaluate performance to foster continuous iteration for improvement
  • complete operational tasks to ensure platforms function effectively for authors, employees, and support groups

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields plus 2+ years of experience in digital product management, internal communications, or employee experience platforms, defining and driving experiences and content strategy plans in an agency or corporate communications environment
  • experience developing and managing content strategies for internal audiences, including employees, leadership, and partners, across multiple digital platforms (intranet, email, collaboration tools, etc.)
  • 2+ years working in a fast-paced, high-volume Marketing, Communications, Employee Communications, and/or Public Relations function for a large corporation or agency
  • strong cross-functional partnership experience
  • must be skilled at writing/editing internal communications content for websites, intranets, employee engagement platforms, and other core needs of a web-based employee experience
  • up to 10% travel required to collect feedback from partners in the field and/or support project launches
  • exceptional technical writing, strong business sense, and executive presentation skills
  • a solid understanding of the digital space with current standards and ability to quickly adapt to new standards for Accessibility, CSS, HTML, JSON, and other necessary web technologies and languages to deliver results
  • ability to use analytics tools to synthesize insights from large datasets to measure employee engagement and optimize content strategy
  • proven strong organizational skills with a history of anticipating issues and taking proactive action to develop and implement an appropriate test, launch, or response plans
  • comfortable multi-tasking and able to deliver under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • experience in developing and/or supporting communications strategy for multifaceted organizations that have experienced significant change
  • proficient in authoring and publishing content using HTML or standard content management systems (AEM, Drupal, etc.) highly desired
  • experience working with backend systems using SQL and other DB query tools highly desired
  • at least 18 years of age
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
